Jim Rooney is a legendary songwriter, producer, author and artist, having worked with iconic roots artists such as John Prine, Nanci Griffith, Iris DeMent, Tom Paxton, Tom Rush. He has written two acclaimed books. The first was "Bossmen," first published in the late 60s and recently rereleased, is an incredible comparison of the parallel lives and careers of two seemingly polar opposites who in fact have much in common, Bill Monroe and Muddy Waters. His autobiography, "In It For The Long Run" was released last year and is an amzing tale of his very interesting life, so far. The band is full of many of Nashville's finest musicians, including Pat McLaughlin, Jelly Roll Johnson, Richard Bailey, Pat Alger, Pat McInerney, Dan Dugmore, Pete Wasner, Shawn Camp, and Dave Pomeroy. Jim's special guests often include great players such as Sam Bush, Stuart Duncan, and more. It's always a fun night of great songs, wonderful playing, and good vibes.
